Additionally, the City of Fresno owns and operates the county's largest public transportation system and two airports. The City of Fresno is one of the fastest growing cities in California. With a population of over 515,609, Fresno is now the State’s sixth largest city. Centrally located, Fresno is the financial, industrial, trade, and commercial capital in the Central San Joaquin Valley.
